How to remove my name from Google?

Well, to begin answering this question, I have to assume and define an average searcher of this phrase (how do you remove name from Google?) as someone who has googled their name and found a negative link they’d like removed…
There are a few ways to go about removing your name from Google if you have undesired links popping up when you do a search on your name, like “John Smith”… Legally, you can’t really do much – believe me, many have tried! It costs thousands if not tens of thousands and wastes too much time… And if the site is not US based, then forget about it altogether… So, I researched a few companies that help you “burry” the negative info into the depth of the search engines – page 2, 3, 4 and as deep as possible, where hopefully nobody bothers looking
Here are a few firms that actually do this:
www.reputec.com – I like these guys the best, as they are a combination of fair price and good quality… This is the only thing they do, hence the name: Reputation Technologies.
www.zallas.com – these guys are a bit more expensive, but they approach reputation problems with custom solutions that I’ve never seen applied by other firms (I mean they create a 100 websites for you if needed… I’ve seen some sites they did that jump on top of Google within weeks and most of their PR is pretty good – above 5). So, if you have the budget to fight your problem, they are probably a good solution for you, but not for the average folks out there, like me
www.cleanmy.name – aside from a weird name
, this is the least expensive option and is an automated version of this service – basically, you plug in your name, some info about you that you want distributed, and it shoots off to the wonderlands of the internet to pretty much push anything and everything on its way – negative or not… So, people submit their resumes, bios, testimonials, achievements, and that basically becomes the first thing people see when they google you…
Good luck to everyone trying to remove negative publicity from the internet!
Hope this helps!
